Certification FAQ

  1.  How do I register?
As of January 2020, on-line registration is the preferred method.  Contact Kristen Freeman by emailing [email protected] or by calling (913) 755-1292 if you cannot register online or have any questions.  Payment is not required for registration, but the exam will not be administered until payment is received.
  2. What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay your fees at the time of online registration with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.  Checks should be made out to "Kansas Chapter ACI".  Contact the KS ACI Treasurer for instruction on where to send a check and with any other questions.
  3. How and when do I get my workbook?
Exam registration fees do not include a workbook unless otherwise stated.  Certification publications are available for purchase through the ACI Website.  Workbooks, if available and purchased through our website, will be mailed via USPS Priority Mail once we have received your payment.
  4. Where do the testing sessions take place?
Most testing sessions are in Kansas City, Topeka, Wichita, and Pittsburg. The specific location for your testing is listed in the event description on the website.
  5. What is your certification testing cancellation policy?
You can cancel your registration for the certification session up to 72 hours (3 business days) prior to the testing date.  If you cancel less than 72 hours prior to your testing date or do not show up for your scheduled testing, you will forfeit your entire registration fee.  Direct substitutions may be made at any time.
  6. What time do I test?
The start time will vary by location and date.  Please check the website for current information.  Check in and instruction will begin at the posted start time, with the exam starting as soon as possible.
Currently, we are scheduling smaller groups at staggered times for some certifications.  The start time will vary depending on the specific ticket purchased.  PLEASE arrive at the time that was selected by the ticket purchased.
  7. Will a testing session be cancelled?
Rarely is it necessary to cancel a testing session, however the session may be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.  If registration for a particular event is too low, we may cancel or postpone to a later date and notify any registrants as soon as possible.
  8. What do I do if I fail the written or performance exam?
Re-examination of the written or performance examination must be taken within one year of the initial examination, otherwise both exams will need to be retaken.  Both written or performance re-examinations are offered at any testing session. When you register, just select the “written only” or “performance only” ticket for that session.
  9. What if I have other questions?
Please contact Kristen Freeman at (913) 755-1292, or email her at [email protected] and she will assist you.
