Concrete Construction Awards
The purpose of these awards is to recognize and encourage excellence in architectural and structural concrete as well as honor unique, innovative, and sustainable uses of concrete within the state of Kansas. One project from all entries received will be submitted into the International ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards program. The winners of those awards are honored at the ACI Convention with a Gala that celebrates innovation and inspires excellence throughout the global concrete design and construction community. Please take this opportunity to share your project with our local region and the world!
Submittals are invited in six categories:

Low Rise Buildings, up to 3 Stories (Residential, Schools, Commercial, Warehouse, Industrial, etc)

Mid to High Rise Buildings, more than 3 Stories (Office building, Multi-family housing, etc)

Flatwork (Slabs, Paving, Hardscape, etc)

Infrastructure (Bridges, Site Structures, Water Resource Structures, Transportation Structures, etc)
-
Decorative Concrete (Interior/Exterior finishes, Ornamentation, Counter Tops, etc)
-
Repair/Restoration (Rehabilitation and Repair of Existing Concrete Construction)
- Bridges (A structure carrying a road, path, railroad, or canal across a river, ravine, road, railroad, or other obstacle)
Submittals can represent Industrial, Commercial, Public, or Residential Projects. The concrete construction may be precast, pre-stressed, cast-in-place, tilt-up, concrete masonry and/or various special uses of concrete. One project in each category will receive an award of excellence by an invited jury of professionals from the design, construction, and academic communities, based on:

Unique applications

Sustainability and Resilience
A winner from each category will receive an award at our annual awards dinner.
Any person, firm, or agency may submit an entry. The project to be entered must be located within the State of Kansas and shall have been substantially complete between April 1st, 2023 and April 1st, 2026. Entries shall consist of:
2. A PowerPoint presentation (PPT) of the project or photos of the project (on CD or flash drive - 10 photos/slides maximum).
3. A brief description of the project (Materials, Procedures, Special Challenges, Solutions, New Technology, Quality Control, etc).
There is no cost to enter.
